The program provides adult and geriatric acute inpatient psychiatric care and treats a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses including co-occurring disorders. The program provides our patients with medication management as well as individual and group based therapy programs. This combined method has been proven to provide the best outcomes in the treatment of mental health disorders.
The psychiatrist works closely with a team of experienced mental health professionals that includes nurses, recreational therapists, social workers, mental health technicians, and case managers. Patients are individually evaluated and their needs are prioritized in order to insure they receive the most appropriate treatment. Social workers and case managers assist each patient in setting up appropriate aftercare following discharge. Patients and families are encouraged to actively participate in both the planning and implementation of the treatment aftercare to optimize the benefit to the patient.
