Plantation General Hospital remains committed to the safety and care of our patients, visitors, physicians, colleagues, and community. At this time, the following visitation guidelines will be maintained within our facility in a continued effort to support and maintain safe practice.

Visitation guidelines are as follows:

  • Visiting hours are from 6am - 8pm
  • COVID positive patients - No visitation at this time
  • Patients are limited to one (1) visitor per day (age 16 and older)
  • Emergency Department - One (1) supportive adult may accompany the patient during the intake process for 30 mins
  • Exceptions may be granted for extraordinary circumstances

The following departments may have two (2) supportive adult visitors per day:

  • NICU
  • Pediatric Outpatient Surgery
  • Women's Services

One (1) person may remain overnight in these services only:

  • Women's Services

Please Note: For the safety of our patients and staff, all patients, staff, and visitors must be masked at all times within our facility.

  • Everyone entering the facility will be screened
  • Visitors who do not meet the screening criteria will not be allowed in the facility

We encourage our patients to utilize programs such as FaceTime, Skype, and WhatsApp to stay connected with loved ones during their stay.

Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.
