In-Patient Pediatrics PICU

No one wants a child to become seriously ill or injured. Since 1979, Plantation General Hospital has been caring for critically ill children in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. From the reassuring compassion of our doctors and well-trained, skilled staff to the pleasant, kid-friendly, Noah's Ark design of our 28-bed Pediatric Unit and 8-bed PICU, we'll do everything possible to make you and your child feel comfortable. Each of the physicians in the Pediatric ICU completed pediatric residencies after obtaining their medical degrees. They then continued their education with more specialized training in pediatric critical care, which is the specialty that focuses on critically ill children. You can rest assured that Plantation General's PICU staff has a level of proficiency beyond most other area facilities.

We offer overnight accommodations for a parent or guardian so you can stay close to your child. We have a refrigerator and microwave for preparing your child's favorite snack, and cable TV with a VCR and video games.
